【摘要】:Thetestmethodprovidesmeansforestablishingwhetherornotalotofceramictilemeetsthestrengthrequirementswhichmayappearintilespecifications.Tilestrengthistheforceinpounds-force(ornewtons),asreadfromthepressuregage,necessarytocausethetiletobreak.1.1Thistestmethodcoversthedeterminationofthebreakingstrengthofglazedceramicwalltile,ceramicmosaictile,quarrytile,andpavertile,havingafacialareaofatleast1in.2(6.4cm2).1.2Thevaluesstatedininch-poundunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Themetricequivalentsofinch-poundunitsmaybeapproximate.1.3Thisstandardmayinvolvehazardousmaterials,operations,andequipment.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyproblemsassociatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityofwhoeverusesthisstandardtoconsultandestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
