【摘要】:Aninclinometerisadeviceformeasuringdeformationnormaltotheaxisofapipebypassingaprobealongthepipeandmeasuringtheinclinationoftheprobewithrespecttothelineofgravity.Measurementsareconvertedtodistancesusingtrigonometricfunctions.Distancesaresummedtofindthepositionofthepipe.Successivemeasurementsgivedifferencesinpositionofthepipeandindicatedeformationnormaltotheaxisofthepipe.Inmostcasesthepipeisinstalledinanear-verticalhole.Measurementsindicatesubsurfacehorizontaldeformation.Insomecasesthepipeisinstalledhorizontallyandthemeasurementsindicateverticaldeformation.Inclinometersarealsocalledslopeinclinometersorslopeindicators.Typicalapplicationsincludemeasuringtherateoflandslidemovementandlocatingthezoneofshearing,monitoringthemagnitudeandrateofhorizontalmovementsforembankmentsandexcavations,monitoringthesettlementandlateralspreadbeneathtanksandembankments,andmonitoringthedeflectionofbulkheads,pilesorstructuralwalls.1.1Thistestmethodcoverstheuseofinclinometerstomonitortheinternalmovementofground.Thetestmethodcoverstypesofinstruments,installationprocedures,operatingproceduresandmaintenancerequirements.Italsoprovidesformulaefordatareduction.1.2ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Theinch-poundunitsgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatehealthandsafetypracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
